Dr. Sanjeev Goel is a family physician practicing in Brampton at "A Healing Place".
Sanjeev joined the Green Party last year during the massive worldwide protests against the illegal invasion of Iraq. His focus issues in this election are electoral reform, leadership based on principles and integrity and ensuring a clean environment for our children. He is currently the foreign affairs critic for the Green Party of Canada.
He is a founder of the non profit group promoting nonviolent community action on social issues called TruthForce and has joined the "Free Thinking Collective", a community library and social activism space.
"Many people are seriously disillusioned with politics. Many are not voting at all. Like many others, I felt hopeless and apathetic about our future. Then, I found out about the Greens and their 10 key values. Politics with integrity, compassion and empowerment. These days, I feel invigorated and energized and truly believe that a better world is possible."
Sanjeev was born in 1971 in Mississauga and finished his medical degree at the University of Toronto in 1995. He lives in downtown Brampton with his wife, Lopita and child, Omiya.
