Born in Abitibi, Nathalie Tousignant has lived on the South Shore since 1990.
Ms. Tousignant first became interested in politics through her father, who was a Liberal member of Parliament for more than five years, and through political science studies at the University of Ottawa.
She acquired experience in the business world, holding a number of leadership positions. She was commercial director for an air shuttle service Max Aviation Inc, Saint-Hubert, director of a flying school Cargair Ltée in Saint-Mathieu de Beloeil, and in charge of the marketing analysis department with Acier Leroux in Boucherville.
Ms. Tousignant has shown, on a number of occasions, her ability to assume challenges. She obtained an aircraft pilot’s licence before becoming a manager in the aviation field, thus combining her passion, professional skills, and interest in providing client services.
For three years, she has been actively involved in fundraising activities for the International Centre for Conflict Resolution and Mediation.
Ms. Tousignant is recognized for her flexible leadership, effectiveness, resourcefulness, and skills in organization, innovation and creativity.
She wishes to become involved in political life in order to advocate her ideas on economic prosperity, the environment, and the family.
Ms. Tousignant has three children: Philippe, Emmanuelle, and Sarah.
