Marie-Ève Bilodeau is a young professional woman from Shawinigan who is very familiar with the region, having grown up there. Ms. Bilodeau received her secondary education at the Séminaire Sainte-Marie and she later graduated from the Collège de Shawinigan. She studied psychology at the University of Ottawa where she wrote a thesis on mental health issues.
Ms. Bilodeau has been a Liberal Party of Canada activist for almost ten years and has worked as a volunteer on a number of party events, both provincially and regionally.
From 2002 to 2004, Ms. Bilodeau was a legislative assistant and political advisor for Quebec in Industry Canada. She was also responsible for files such as the Canadian Space Agency, La Francophonie and Official Languages.
From 1999 to 2001, she was a political assistant to Senator Lucie Pépin, where she worked on issues related to the social economy, health, and the community.
As a result, she acquired considerable experience in industrial and economic development, and gained in-depth knowledge of government and the political machinery. Ms. Bioldeau now wishes to use this knowledge for the benefit of her region.
