Lorraine Auclair was born on September 19th, 1948 in Saint-Jérôme. She is an accountant and in charge of accounting operations for the law firm Prévost Auclair Fortin D’Aoust. Previously, she was an accountant with Desjardins Sauriol.
From 1989 to 1993, Ms. Sauriol was actively involved on the municipal scene as a councillor and advisor responsible for town planning. She is the first woman to have been appointed acting-mayor in the city of Saint-Jérome.
From 1993 to 1999, she was a member of the board of the Sainte-Marcelle Caisse populaire.
In recent years, she has worked with a number of charitable organizations. She was president of the Daffodil Campaign for the Canadian Cancer Society, patron of honour for the Jean Lapointe telethon, and organizer of the fashion show for the Jean Lapointe Foundation.
