Lévis Brien has Bachelor’s degree in consumer-related issues from Laval University and a teaching diploma from the University of Quebec at Trois Rivières.
He started his career as a public relations specialist with the SDI (Quebec industrial development corporation), Statistics Canada and the Federation of Co-op stores. He later joined the staff of the Member of Parliament for Joliette as a political assistant.
His interest in politics led him to run in the riding of Rousseau for the provincial legislature. He was elected as the MNA for the riding in 1994. As a member of the National Assembly, he sat on a number of committees such as Agriculture, Budget, Administration, Social Affairs and Public Administration.
In March 1999, Mr. Brien was appointed to the position of administrative judge with the RMAAQ (Quebec board for agricultural and food markets).
Since then, he has decided to once again offer his political experience and many skills to his fellow citizens by standing as the Liberal candidate in the riding of Repentigny.
