Howard Bruce, 38 years old, was born and raised in the riding of Portneuf, in St-Casimir and Portneuf.
Married to Helen Hamilton, a school teacher, they are the proud parents of 2 children, Skylar aged 6 and Ashley aged 4.
Howard attended the University of Ottawa where he obtained his degree in Social Sciences, concentration in Political Science, and then his law degree in 1990.
Upon graduation he returned to Quebec City and was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1992. He began his own private practice with an office in St-Marc des Carrières and later Portneuf. Since 2001 he has been practicing with the reputed firm, O’Brien, Avocats, in Quebec City. His main areas of practice are commercial and civil litigation as well as family law.
In 2000 Howard was the candidate for the Canadian Alliance in the riding of Portneuf and obtained the second best result in Quebec for an Alliance candidate obtaining 15.30 of the vote. He was actively involved in supporting the merger of our two conservative parties.
He is active with the minor hocker association where his son Skylar began playing last season, being the Association’s Vice-President. Howard’s main activities revolve around his family, both his children are already avid downhill skiers and love many other winter sports. The family also enjoys swimming, soccer and many other outdoor activities.
