Andrea Paine, age 42, is married to Eric Casarotto, Vice-Principal of Kuper Academy, a private school in the West Island. They have three children, Stephanie, Alexandra and Emma. She graduated from Concordia University with a double major in journalism and political science, and studied civil law for 4 years at Université Laval.
Andrea has devoted much of her working life to politics in the province of Quebec. She has been active in both the Conservative Party of Canada and the Quebec Liberal Party, and has spent the last 3 ½ years working as political aid to the provincial MNA in this riding. Her vast political experience includes several cabinet positions as advisor or press secretary to provincial cabinet ministers of Fisheries, Education and Transport, media representative during provincial referendums, or work in riding offices. Other positions include work in communications for the Jean Charest leadership campaign for the PC Party, and a member of the quick reaction team at PC headquarters in Ottawa.
Mrs. Paine has a strong sense of community involvement, and has held several volunteer positions for non-profit organizations on the West Island. She was publicity director on the Board of Directors for the West Island Women’s Centre, and sits on the Board of Directors for both the West Island Community Resource Centre and Kuper Academy.
Canadians want a change in government and the Conservative Party of Canada is the best choice. We need an honest and hardworking government who will adequately represent the needs and concerns of the constituents in each federal riding across our country. We need to bring transparency to the decision making process, and restore pride in serving our country.
