In 1998, Nancy Girard obtained a public relations diploma from the University of Montreal and is continuing her university studies in a marketing management program. She is completing an Executive MBA training program.
She has more than 15 years experience as a manager in the telecommunications industry, in education and in government.
Ms. Girard started working with Bell Canada in 1996 as a business solutions advisor and quickly moved up the ladder, becoming director of communications and marketing, and more recently director of business development for education and municipalities.
From 1996 to 1999, she worked as director of marketing-communications at the École internationale de tourisme – a leader in training frontline staff who work in luxury hotels.
From 1993 to 1996, she worked as a consultant in marketing-communications for the International Youth Fair and the national Furniture Council.
From 1985 to 1993, Ms. Girard served as a political assistant with the Department of Health and the Department of Transportation, giving her considerable experience in how government works.
