Robert Gladu was born on July 18, 1957, in Ville Jacques-Cartier. He is married to Ginette Prévost and they have two children.
He has worked for Pratt & Whitney Canada since 1978. He has held a variety of production-related positions, supervised the department, and represented Pratt & Whitney Canada in Poland.
Since 2001, he has been involved in the community as the municipal concillor for the Borough Vieux-Longueuil and as Chair of the GRT board of the greater City of Longueuil. He also sits on a number of municipal administration committees.
Mr. Gladu is a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Jacques-Cartier Optimist Club. He is also president of sports and recreation for the Borough of Vieux Longueuil and vice-president for the City of Longueuil.
He also contributes to sporting activities for the young people of Longueuil through his work with the Sieurs de Longueuil hockey club.
Mr. Gladu’s list of volunteer contributions is a long one. He was involved with the United Way Pratt & Whitney, with the Terry Fox Run, collected clothes for CERTEX, and helped fundraise for multiple sclerosis.
