Pierrette Bellefeuille has extensive political experience. She has worked as a special assistant to MPs and senators since 1981. She is therefore thoroughly familiar with how things work in parliament and, especially, she knows what Canadians need and expect from their MPs.
Ms. Bellefeuille has two children: a 34-year-old son and a 30-year-old daughter. She lives in Gatineau.
I am running for the Conservative Party of Canada in the Hull/Aylmer riding because I no longer believe in the Liberal Party. I can no longer defend it and all that it represents. After having a Liberal government in power for 11 years and after numerous scandals, we must have a change in this country. We can no longer continue with the Liberal Party—especially with a majority government. I think that the worst thing I have heard from the Liberals is that if the provinces need more money they should just raise provincial income taxes. This is absolutely absurd.
