Lyne Boisvert is a well-known political figure in the Drummondville region. She was a Progressive Conservative candidate during the 1997 and 2000 elections. Lyne was previously involved at all levels of the local Progressive Conservative Association and, on the provincial scene, was the Vice President of the party’s provincial organization in 1999-2000.
Ms. Boisvert has a degree in Accounting from the Université du Québec à Montréal and is a CGA. She is a Senior Auditor in a public accounting firm.
Lyne is also involved in her community. She is the Treasurer of the Fondation du pensionnat de Drummondville and a member of the Board of Directors of the Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil Scouts Association.
After 20 years of active political life on the federal scene in the Drummond riding, I believe that the creation of the new Conservative Party is the major event of recent years. Canadians and Quebecers now have a real national alternative to the Liberal Party, which is worn after a decade of abuse and corruption.
