Fortier, Jean E.

Quebec, Ahuntsic, Conservative Party of Canada

Jean Fortier is a political figure who is well known to Montrealers.

He was a member of the city of Montréal’s Executive Committee for many years and was the Chairman of this committee for nearly four years. In this capacity, he managed the administration of the largest city in Québec.

Mr. Fortier graduated from the École des Hautes Études commerciales.

Before holding his current position, he worked for ABB and Barclay’s Bank.

He has also been the Director General of the Conseil des relations internationales.

Mr. Fortier was a member of the Board of Directors of the Philharmonie Jeunesse de Montréal, as well as the Westin School.

He is currently a consultant to various companies and institutions.

Jean E. Fortier is married with three children.

I have always been involved in economic life in Québec and Canada in various different capacities. I believe that the values of accountability, excellence and productivity are essential for any economy that is to be competitive on an international scale. In my view, the Conservative Party’s platform and ideals are closest to these values.
