Coady, Siobhan

Newfoundland and Labrador, St. John's South, Liberal Party of Canada

Siobhan Coady is the President and Chairman of the Board of Bonaventure Fisheries, a privately held fish harvesting company. She is also the President and Chief Executive Officer of Newfound Genomics, a leading biotechnology company.

She is the Immediate Past Chair of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce which is the national leader in public policy advocacy on business issues and represents more than 170,000 businesses, as well as local and provincial chambers.

She was President of the St. John's Board of Trade in 1993. In 1994, the Atlantic Canada Chamber of Commerce awarded her the Harvey Webber Award in recognition of her outstanding service in strengthening the Chamber movement in Atlantic Canada. In 2003 she received the Queen’s Jubilee Medal and was recognized as an Ambassador, Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador.

She is equally well known for her wide range of volunteer activities with community organizations. She is the Past Chair of the regional economic development board, the Newfoundland and Labrador Business Hall of Fame, and past campaign Chair of the Red Cross. She currently contributes to the St. John's Airport Authority, The Genesis Centre, the Atlantic Innovation Council, and the Royal St. John’s Regatta Committee and the Lung Association, to name a few.

Ms. Coady is a native of Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland. She is an alumnus of Memorial University and an Accredited Public Relations professional.
