Scott Vokey, 30, is the Green Party of Canada candidate for St. John’s North.

Scott is currently studying toward his Master’s degree in Urban and Environmental Planning at the University of Toronto, with the goal to help improve Canada’s urban and transportation infrastructure and taxation system. Scott holds a Master of Arts degree in History from Queen’s University, a Bachelor of Education degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland.

Scott is presently working as an intern at the Association of Municipalities of Ontario. He was previously employed as a high school teacher with the School of Liberal Arts in Toronto from 2000 to 2004. He was also an editor for China News daily newspaper and Ted Knoy editing services from 1998 to 2000.

Additionally, Scott is a Member of Ontario College of Teachers, Member of Taiwan Association of University and College Professors, and Interim Member of Ontario Professional Planners Institute.

Scott and his wife, Julie Yap-Vokey, are expecting their first child in September.
